Hardik Pandya is an Indian international cricketer who plays for the Indian national team in all formats of the game. He is a right-handed batsman and right-arm medium-fast bowler who made his debut for India in 2016. He plays for Baroda in domestic cricket and Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Pandya was born on 11 October 1993 in Surat, Gujarat, India to an Indian family. His father, Himanshu, is a businessman and his mother, Nalini, is a homemaker. He has two brothers, Krunal and Vikas. He was educated at MK High School in Surat.
Pandya made his first-class debut for Baroda in November 2013 and his List A debut in December 2013. He made his Twenty20 debut in January 2016 and his One Day International (ODI) debut in October 2016. He made his Test debut in July 2017.
In January 2018, Pandya was named in India’s squad for the 2018 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup. In March 2018, he was bought by the Mumbai Indians in the 2018 IPL auction for a base price of ₹11 crore (US$1.6 million).
In October 2018, he was named in India’s squad for the 2018–19 Asia Cup. However, he was ruled out of the tournament due to an injury.

Pandya has been in a relationship with Serbian tennis player, Ana Ivanovic, since November 2019.
In July 2020, Pandya was fined ₹20 lakh (US$28,000) by the BCCI for his comments on a talk show.
In September 2020, he was named in India’s squad for the 2020 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
As of September 2020, Pandya has played 27 Test matches, 54 ODIs and 40 T20Is for India. He has scored 1,545 runs in Tests, 1,617 in ODIs and 601 in T20Is. He has also taken 61 Test wickets, 48 ODI wickets and 28 T20I wickets.
