Naga Chaitanya was born on 23 November 1986 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India to actors Akkineni Nagarjuna and Amala Akkineni. He has a younger sister, Akhila.
Chaitanya’s paternal grandfather was the legendary actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao and his paternal grandmother was the actress Savitri. His maternal grandfather was the actor Gemini Ganesan and his maternal grandmother was the actress Pushpavalli.
Chaitanya did his schooling at the Chennai Public School and the Hyderabad Public School. He graduated with a degree in business management from the Wesleyan University in Connecticut, USA.
