Suhana Khan is an Indian actress and model who appears in Hindi films. The daughter of actors Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan, she is the second of three children and the only daughter. Khan made her acting debut in the 2019 short film The Grey Part of Blue.

Early life and background

Suhana Khan was born on 22 May 2000 in Mumbai, Maharashtra to Bollywood actors Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan. She has two younger brothers, Aryan Khan and AbRam Khan. Her paternal grandparents are Taj Mohammed Khan from Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Lateef Fatima from Hyderabad, Telangana while her maternal grandparents are Vipin Sharma from Delhi and Savita Chibber from Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir. She is of Punjabi, Pathan and Rajput descent on her father’s side, and of Sindhi and Punjabi descent on her mother’s side.

She attended the Dhirubhai Ambani International School in Mumbai and completed her high school education from there in 2017. She is currently studying film at the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts.

Career

Khan made her acting debut in the 2019 short film The Grey Part of Blue. The film, which also stars Robin Matthewson and Zarina Wahab, is about two estranged friends who reconnect after one of them goes through a heartbreak. It was screened at the Cannes Film Festival and the Mumbai Film Festival.

In 2020, she appeared in the web series Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives, a reality show that chronicles the lives of the wives of four Bollywood celebrities. The show also features her mother Gauri Khan, along with Neelam Kothari Soni, Seema Khan and Maheep Kapoor.

In 2021, Khan made her acting debut in the Hindi film industry with the film, Goodbye Friend. The film is directed by Vikram Bhatt and also stars Robin Matthewson, Zarina Wahab and Gulshan Grover.

Personal life

Khan is in a relationship with Ahaan Panday, the son of actor Chunky Panday. The couple have been together since 2019.

In March 2021, Khan underwent surgery for a “minor corrective procedure” on her right hand.

In May 2021, Khan graduated from the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts with a bachelor’s degree in film and television.
