Maggie leads a group to Meridan in order to retrieve food for the Alexandrians. Maggie is almost carried away by a horde of walkers during the mission, as Negan stands by and does nothing to help her. Maggie escapes and tells the group about Negan’s abandonment. On the mission, Gage and Roy are both lost. Eugene, Ezekiel, Princess, and Yumiko are all granted Commonwealth membership.
Maggie joins up with Negan to undertake a supply run after the Reapers kill Duncan and Cole. Carol must slaughter horses in order to feed the Alexandrians. Darryl comes upon Dog, who is sitting close to Leah. Darryl is tortured by the Reapers. Darryl is imprisoned in a shed, which the Pope has set fire to. Darryl and Leah manage to flee. Darryl is welcomed into the Reapers by Pope, although he is undecided about becoming one.
