The redemption arc of Endeavor has always been a contentious topic in My Hero Academia. Many fans regard him as a pathetic excuse for a human being. Endeavor has previously abused his family emotionally and physically. He has, nonetheless, made recent progress toward being a better person. Of course, this has split the My Hero Academia fandom evenly.
This article is not intended to argue for his forgiveness. In My Hero Academia, only his family may make that decision. It remains to be seen if he will achieve peace of mind. Kohei Horikoshi, on the other hand, appears to be moving in that way.
Will Endeavor be able to redeem himself by the end of My Hero Academia?
It goes without saying that Endeavor’s redemption is a sensitive matter. Fans of My Hero Academia are under no obligation to forgive him.Horikoshi may be able to discover a method for his family to do so.
Endeavor’s family will eventually be willing to put the past behind them. Given the outcome of the Paranormal Liberation War, My Hero Academia appears to be leaning towards it. To put everything in context, Dabi was revealed to be Toya Todoroki, who was driven insane by Endeavor’s torture.Endeavor was treated for injuries at a local hospital, where the rest of the family greeted him. Rei, his wife, made it plain that everyone needed to put their disagreements aside for Dabi’s sake.
With the exception of Shoto, she stated that everyone played a part in Dabi’s lunacy, for better or worse. Of course, in My Hero Academia, Endeavor was still the source of their issues.Rei, on the other hand, feels Endeavor sincerely wants to make amends with his family. Regardless of what he’s done, she wants to be at his side as they deal with Dabi. Fuyumi, her daughter, is of the same mind.Natsuo appears to be the only member of the family who refuses to forgive Endeavor. Horikoshi, to his credit, does not offer this as an incorrect viewpoint. Endeavor, who is crying, understands his son’s logic.
Shoto will take the right time to forgive him
Given all of his arduous preparation, Shoto could hardly stand his father at the start of My Hero Academia. Over time, the father attempted to strengthen his son’s connection. It appears to be functioning slowly but steadily. Shoto prayed for his father’s survival in the face of a High-End Nomu. Izuku Midoriya also had a meaningful dinner talk with him near the end of the Pro Hero storyline. Shoto, Midoriya thought, was only waiting for the appropriate opportunity to forgive his father.Remember that Deku is the protagonist of My Hero Academia. Shnen protagonists are generally aware of the hidden emotions of those around them (such as Luffy and Naruto). Midoriya clearly realises Shoto’s genuine sentiments about Endeavor.
Forgiveness will not come Easy for Endeavor after what he did
Negative animosity fades away as a result of forgiveness.Dabi, on the other hand, is fully defined by resentment. His sole purpose in life is to harm Endeavor. To attain that goal, he is willing to sacrifice his life. As a result, Shoto is battling Dabi, while Endeavor is looking after All For One. Todoroki, the younger, is determined to keep his older brother alive. Shoto feels he can be saved despite the villain’s actions. There’s still a chance Endeavor’s family might be rebuilt, whether he survives or dies. That would be plenty to give him peace of mind.
Hopefully, his family will be able to heal from such horrific experiences.
